Immobilization of CH3HL4 on Merrifield Resin

To Merrifield resin (1 % cross-linked, 3.5 mmol/g Cl, 500 mg) in acetonitrile (10 mL) was added CH3HL4 (320 mg, 0.78 mmol) and dried potassium carbonate (250 mg) and the mixture was stirred for 10 days. After this time the orange beads of the resin were suction dried on a sintered glass funnel (the filtrate was collected to recover any unbound ligand) and washed with water (20 mL) and methanol (20 mL). The resin was further dried under high vacuum to yield 646 mg of M-CH3HL4. 26 mg of ligand were recovered from the filtrate. [Pg.47]

To MR-CH3HL4 (400 mg) in methanol (10 mL) was added zinc(ll) acetate dihydrate (400 mg) and the mixture was refluxed for 30 min and then stirred for 24 h. Subsequently the resin was suction dried and washed with water (10 mL) and methanol (20 mL) to yield 505 mg of the immobilized complex MR-[Zd2(CH3L4)(CH3COO)2]. [Pg.47]
