Imidazo pyrazine biological activity

Biologically active fused imidazo[l,2-a]pyridines 34 and imidazo[l,2-a]pyrazines 35 were shown to be accessible by reaction of 2-aminopyridine (X = CH) or 2-aminopyrazine (X = N), respectively, with aldehydes and isocyanides in the presence of 5 mol% Sc(OTf)3 (Scheme 17.25) [72].
