Image sequence

Due to the application of the described image processing steps on image sequences up to 1000 images per second, it is possible to determine and to analyse the transport process of several hard particles concerning their location, velocity and acceleration inside the molten bath. [Pg.546]

Figure Bl.14.7. Chemical shift imaging sequence [23], Bothx- andj -dimensions are phase encoded. Since line-broadening due to acquiring the echo in the presence of a magnetic field gradient is avoided, chemical shift infonnation is retained in tire echo. Figure Bl.14.7. Figure Bl.14.9. Imaging pulse sequence including flow and/or diflfiision encoding. Gradient pulses before and after the inversion pulse are supplemented in any of the spatial dimensions of the standard spin-echo imaging sequence. Motion weighting is achieved by switching a strong gradient pulse pair G, (see solid black line). The steady-state distribution of flow (coherent motion) as well as diffusion (spatially... Sequence-specific transcription factors often bind as multimers especially as dimers to DNA. This allows binding of mirror-imaged sequences (palindromes) in the DNA that are separated by a few spacer nucleotides. The dimerization is stabilized by hydrophobic motifs within dimerization motifs of each transcription factor molecule. Dependent on the nature of the dimerization domain and the abundance of individual transcription factors homo- or heterodimers can form and bind to palindromes with differential activity. [Pg.427]

The mirror image sequences, such as the AB and BA dyads, cannot be distinguished. [Pg.355]

From the image sequences, information on the velocities of nano-particles can be extracted. The statistical effect of Brownian motion on the flowing speed of the mixed liquid is found small enough to be ignored as shown in Fig. 37 where most of the particles trajectories in the liquid are straight lines and parallel with the wall basically. Therefore, Brownian diffusive motion is ignorable. [Pg.27]

In this section, we will focus on the different types of motion and their experimental determination, and will not consider imaging itself Section 1.5 will then combine the two encodings of position and motion into velocity imaging sequences. [Pg.20]

The SHV flow regime has been studied systematically using the spin-echo and FLASH imaging sequences [39]. Figure 4.4.6 describes the steps for extracting... [Pg.423]

Spatially-resolved measurement of the droplet size distribution can be accomplished by the implementation of velocity compensated pulse sequences, such as the double PGSTE [81] in a spatially resolved imaging sequence. Accurate measurements of spatially resolved droplet size distributions during flow and mixing of emulsions would provide truly unique information regarding flow effects on the spatial distribution of droplets. [Pg.452]
