Idealistic feedback

By giving idealistic feedback, parents allow their enthusiasm and love for the child to drive their response to positive extremes. "Nobody could have done it better " "Keep this up and you ll be famous one day " In doing so, they can create an image of exceptionality on which the child is encouraged to build unrealistic self-expectations. 

Helpful ways for parents to strengthen the affirmative self-image of their only child are to keep their feedback descriptive and not evaluative, realistic and not idealistic. 

The bounding box of inputs obtained using the above formulation represents idealistic values of the required bounds of the inputs. In other words, these bounds would be sufficient only for the optimal controller to cover the entire operating space. A feedback controller would require larger input ranges in order to accomplish the same task within the desired response time, ti.
