Hyperfine broadening

This hyperfine broadening of resonant absorption is consistent with theoretical investigations according to which the main dephasing mechanism of magnetic molecules is connected to nuclear spins [52, 72-75]. [Pg.171]

Based on the Ga quadrupolar interaction and the orientation dependence of the (hyperfine broadened) central linewidth, Koschnick et al argue that their ENDOR signal is due to an interstitial Ga atom which is the residual donor in their film [59], Glaser and co-workers argue that the Ga nuclei observed in their resonance... [Pg.110]

Figure 6.11. The peak-to-peak ESR linewiih in cis-rich-PA measured as a function of the angle v at the X-band. > is the angle between the chain axis and the magnetic field. , [54], for 90% ci.r-rich-S-PA stretched by 230% , [70] for c -rich-SE-PA stretched by 700% O [34] for 50% cis-rich-NT-PA stretched by 600%, tliat is the same sample as Figure 6.9. The dotted, the dash-dotted and the solid curves show the best fit to the hyperfine broadening described by (6.3) with the isotropic contribution due to the amorphous part that is 40% for [34]. The broken line shows a powder average for [34]. Such a large magnitude of the isotropic part contradicts the 25-32% deduced from the second moment as shown in Figure 6.9. Figure 6.11. A g = 2.00 X-band EPR signal of X, which becomes anisotropic in Q-band (Table 1), displays hyperfine broadening upon the use of Fe and 0-labeled O2 and H2O. RFQ-ENDOR... [Pg.315]

The EPR signal intensity indicates that the spin concentration of POT-EB is lower than that of POT-ES (of the same order as for PANI-EB). The EPR line width and g factor for POT-ES are 0.7 G and 2.0034, respectively, while that of the corresponding PANI-ES are 0.3 G and 2.0038, respectively [44]. The EPR peak-to-peak linewidth of POT-ES monotonically decreases from 2.4 G to 0.7 G as the temperature increases from 4 to 300 K (Figure 13.23), while that of PANI-ES has very little temperature dependence [48], The narrow linewidth of POT-ES is due to motional or exchange narrowing while the POT-EB exhibits hyperfine broadening (A// 10 G). [Pg.606]
