Hydrostannylation palladium-catalysed

Uenishi and coworkers utilised palladium-catalysed hydrostannylation of dibromoal-kenes (e.g. 131) as a method for the preparation of precursors en route to (Z)-alkenyl bromides (equation 115)831. These transformations effectively amount to hydrogenolysis and are believed to proceed by the mechanism depicted in Scheme 13831.
