Hydrometalation or Heteroatom-Metalation Process

When the Pd(PPh3)4 atalyzed addition reaction of diphenyl disulfide to terminal allenes is conducted under the pressure of carbon monoxide, a novel carbonylative [Pg.293]

Pt(cod)(CH3)2, which was expected to generate Pt(0) species in situ, could not catalyze this reaction however, the addition of phosphine ligands causes the carbonylation reaction of allenes. This result suggests the carbonylation requires phosphine ligands on platinum. [Pg.295]
