Hydrogen sulphide calibration

Impurities of heavy metals which are able to form acid resistant sulfides interfere when they are present in the reagents used to absorb hydrogen sulphide and to form methyleneblue. Especially copper, even ixg amounts, causes low sulphur results. When the same reagent solutions are used for analysis and for plotting the calibration curve, it is possible to take into account the influence of heavy metal impurities in the reagents Heavy metal contamination from external sources has to be avoided. [Pg.388]
