Hydrogen Migration in Methylchlorocarbene

2-hydrogen migration in methylchlorocarbene converts it to chloroethene HjCCCl -H H2CC(H)C1. Calculations w ere carried out using direct dynamics [67]. At 365 K, tunneling low ers the gas-phase Arrhenius activation energy from 

3 kcal mohi to 8.5 kcal mohi, and at 175 K the drop is even more dramatic, from 10.2 kcal mohi to 2.0 kcal mohi.
