Hydrodynamic Behavior in a Macroscale

The hydrodynamics of a circulating fluidized bed can be analyzed from both the macroscopic and mesoscopic points of view. The nonuniformity of the solids concentration in the radial and axial directions represents macroscopic behavior. The existence of solid clusters characterizes mesoscopic behavior (see 10.5). The hydrodynamic behavior in a macroscale is discussed in the following.
