The nonprotein amino acid cyclopentenylglycine (45) is a constituent of the ffee-amino-acid pool in seeds and leaves of Hydnocarpus anthelminthica and Caloncoba echinata (Flacourtiaceae), where it comprises up to 2% of the total free amino acids.
