How to Replace a Sink Faucet

Faucet tailpieces bring water from the supply lines to the faucet itself Whether you attach the tailpieces to the faucet and feed them down through the mounting holes in the sink, or attach the tailpieces to the supply lines and feed them up through the holes, depends in large part on the style of faucet. The faucet manufacturer should have provided pre-assembly instructions. Follow these instructions to determine how much of the faucet you should build from the top and how much should be fed from the bottom. [Pg.335]

6 MOUNT THE FAUCET. After caulking the plate, set the faucet on top of the mounting hole, making sure it s pointing in the right direction. (Don t laugh. [Pg.335]

Under the sink, attach the braided stainless steel supply lines to the faucet tailpieces, screwing them tight with slip-joint pliers. Connect the other ends of the supply lines to the shutoff valves. Use two wrenches to tighten the lines into the valves. [Pg.335]

If that s the case, feed the hose down through the sprayer base and connect it as appropriate. [Pg.335]
