When a solution is formed, there is an energy change that results from the interaction of two forces—the intermo-lecular forces among dissolving particles and the attractive forces between solute and solvent particles. How can this change be observed  

Measure 10 g of ammonium chloride (NH4CI) using a balance, and place it in a 100-mL beaker. 

Measure 30 ml of water with a 50-mL graduated cylinder, and add to the NH4CI, stirring with your stirring rod. 

Feel the bottom of the beaker, and record your observations.
