Homogenous chemical promotion parameters

Heterogeneous catalysis appears to be an interesting alternative technique to the homogeneous reaction. The physical and chemical competitive adsorption parameters can in principle be tuned so as to favor displacement of the product by one of the reagents reactivity can be promoted using shape factors to compensate for the use of mildly acidic catalysts. Important work has been carried out in the past 10-15 years to find new heterogeneous catalysts for this reaction. [Pg.71]
