High Specific Capacity and Energy

The theoretical specific capacity and energy of a battery are usually based on the overall cell reaction, i.e. the active components of the anode and cathode alone. In the case of metal-air batteries, because the oxygen is absorbed from the air (as in a fuel cell), some authors calculated the theoretical specific capacity and energy [Pg.760]

Although different assumptions have been made to calculate the specific capacities and energies, the values for metal-air batteries are usually much higher [Pg.761]
