A majority of studies in liquid solution concerns spectra of radicals with -factors that deviate only slightly from the free-electron value of 2.00232. Measurement of the -factor to five decimal places or more is often achieved in high resolution ESR spectra. The measurement method depends on the system and the available experimental equipment.
