Hexanone vapour

The minor products (CO, CH4, C2H6, -C4Hio, I-C4H8, n-CsHn, CH3CHO) of the photolysis of 2-hexanone vapour were formed by the secondary reactions (recombination, disproportionation, hydrogen abstraction and decomposition) of the radicals originating from primary process conversions, the [Pg.342]

C3H6/(C0+CH4+C2H6). The results, obtained by different workers (refs. 118, 214,225-227) at 3130 A, give the ratios -n-SO, - 5, 2 and 1 at 25,100,200 and 300 C, respectively. Though the decrease of the values with increasing temperature is caused partly by the increase in the instability of the acetyl radicals, nevertheless, it also reflects the increase of (j i with temperature. [Pg.343]

The quantum yields of the formation of propene and acetone are equal (Table 25) and are independent of temperature, light intensity and 2-hexanone pressures ss - 227 Propene and acetone are formed in equal amounts also in the presence of NO (ref. 214) or O2 (ref. 226), indicating the non-radical origin of these products. However, above about 150 °C, free radical reactions also contribute to the production of propeneSS.  [Pg.343]

The occurrence of primary process III in the photolysis of 2-hexanone vapour has not been verified so far. [Pg.343]

Among the products of the radiolysis of 2-pentanone and 2-hexanone, ethylene and propene were found in considerable amounts . The distribution of the butenes in the radiolysis of 4-methyl 2-hexanone (both in the vapour and in the liquid phase) was very much similar to that observed in fhe photolysis at short wavelengths . [Pg.339]

Another catalytic polymeric membrane reactor operating in interfacial contact mode, but now for conducting the liquid/vapour phase oxyfunc-tionalization of n-hexane with H2O2 producing a mixture of hexanones and hexanols, was studied by Kaliaguine and co-workers. The catalytic... [Pg.27]
