SOME OTHER FACTORS AFFECTING GLOBAL CLIMATE 

As discussed at the beginning of this chapter, the focus here is on the relationship between atmospheric chemistry and global climate change, rather than on the magnitude of this change and its causes. However, to place the role of atmospheric chemistry in context, we briefly treat in this section some other important factors known to be involved, or thought to be potentially involved, in climate change. For a more detailed discussion of these and other related issues, see IPCC (1996).
