Helix promatia

Gymnestrogenin, the 3, 16/5, 21 , 23,28-pentahydroxyolean-12-ene (6) was isolated from the leaves of G. sylvestre by Stocklin This sapogenin, mp 288-289°C was also isolated by Sinsheimer and Rao by hydrolysis of their gymnemic acid D with -glucuronidase (Helix promatia) preparation. [Pg.650]
