Heart-Yang collapse

Since Heart-Yang and Kidney-Yang are the principal Yang of the body, Yang collapse means Heart-Yang collapse and Kidney-Yang collapse. 

Heart-Yang collapse Loss of consciousness, cold sweats, extremely cold limbs and a very deep and weak pulse. 

Heart-Yang collapse Acute myocardial infarction, heavy bleeding, dropping of blood pressure in shock and before death in terminal disease. 

This formula can rescue the Yang from collapse and tonify the Qi. It is used to treat severe Yang deficiency of the Kidney, Spleen and Heart, and accumulations of cold in the body. The symptoms are extremely cold extremities, an exhausted state with a constant desire to sleep, vomiting, diarrhea with undigested food particles, abdominal pain and cold, severe chills, purple color of nails and lips, a pale tongue with a white coating, and a weak and deep pulse. 

Indications 1) Shaoyin diseases, 2) collapse of yang due to erroneously sweating taiyang diseases. Influenza, intestinal fever, cholera, diarrhea, neurotic vomiting, indigestion, edema, jaundice, hypopituitarism, hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency, intractable arthritis, prostration, heart failure, cardiac insufficiency, and coma... 

Ethnopharmacologically, the functions of this drug are to replenish vital energy (Qi), prevent collapse and strengthen Yang, to tonify the spleen and lungs, to promote body fluids, to relieve thirst and to calm the heart and to soothe the mind.
