In the 21 St century, what new image might overtake the image of the Sallman head Many people see an accurate rendition of Christ in actor James Caviezel s portrayal of Jesus in Mel Gibson s movie The Passion of the Christ. A few fans of the movie bow down before Caviezel who said that he was the same age as Jesus when Jesus was crucified (33 years old) and that the actor s initials, J. C., are suggestive of Jesus Christ. 

We don t have the freedom of discussing matters, as do the philosophers. We must speak by the rules. We are called enemies of the cross (as Pope Leo says) not only for our deeds but also for our words. Moreover, there are in the Catholic party, many or rather the greater part, who are timid and weak, and must be nourished with milk rather than solid food. The head of that orthodox sect, [Christ], addresses them, privileged by his special love Let the little ones come to me. .. We must therefore act with more moderation and spare the ears of the monastics and avoid offending the pious ears of simple people. We must respect the views of the people. 

On the ship o duty and service each one of us must now be borne out of the slough. Each one of us must now serve, not as he used to serve in the Russia of the past, but in another, heavenly realm, the head of which is Christ Himself. 

Christ. They keep the sacrament of his body outside but they do not hold the reality itself within - the reality of which it is the sacrament. Therefore they eat and drink judgement for themselves [i Cor 11.29]. The one bread is the sacrament of unity Since there is one bread, a>e who are many are one body [i Cor 10.17], as the apostle says. The Catholic church alone, then, is the body of Christ, and he, her head, is the saviour of the body. The Holy Spirit does not give life to anyone outside this body, because (to quote the apostle) the love of God is spread in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who is given to us [Rom 5.5].
