6 Calculation for centrifugal pumps IV.6.1 Head developed at pump 

Pressure head developed at pump can be approximated by the velocity head developed at pump inqietler as follows  

V is liquid velocity at pump impeller tip, in ft/sec g is gravitational constant 32.174, in ft/sec2. 

Liquid velocity at pump impeller lip (V) is calculated by followii equation  

N is pump speed, in ipm D is pump impelira diameter, in inch.
