Tween 80 and HCB were added simultaneously, and for each surfactant concentration, the initial concentration of HCB was also varied to allow for the determination of individual HCB sorption isotherms as a function of surfactant loading. In these experiments, the final aqueous phase concentrations of both HCB and Tween 80 were measured independently by GC and HPLC analysis, respectively. Individual and coupled HCB and Tween 80 sorption experiments were conducted in triplicate, with duplicate reference blanks (no solid phase). [Pg.456]
