Haloglycosylation

In an investigation of the rates of hydrolysis of /3-n-arabinosyl fluoride and 2-bromo-2-deoxy- 9-L-arabinosyl fluoride, the latter was found to be hydrolyzed seven times more slowly. This result is consistent with the predominance of steric factors in determining the rate of hydrolysis of the haloglycosyl fluoride. [Pg.208]
