Halochalcogenate polycations

Te TeF3+ TeCl3+ [Te15Cl42+]n TeBr3+ [Te15Br42+]n Tel3+ Te6I22+ 

The Se4l4 cation was prepared by reaction of Sc4 [i.e., Sc4(AsF6)2] and iodine in SO2 solution, and characterized by Se NMR spectra.The Se NMR spectrum of the Se4l4 solution is consistent with an l2Se SeSeSe l2 structure for the cation, and with an equilibrium of Se4l4 with lesser amount of Sel + and Se6l2.
