One of the largest enclosed hall-type clinker storage buildings is at R0rdal cement works, Aalborg, Denmark (Fig. 6). Its dimensions on plan are 240 m x 60m and its capacity is 200000t. The roof covering consists of aluminium panels. 

In hall-type factory buildingsthe value of the factor a isonlyabout2to4dB. For an average absorption coefficient a in the building a = 20a. 

The first RBMK-type reactor started up at Obninsk in 1954—two years before Calder Hall. It is still operating. There are plans for 70000 MW of new nuclear plant to be commissioned between 1984 and 1994 but how that target will be affected by the decision to build no more RBMK reactors is not clear.
