It is a well-known fact that the mechanical properties of fluoropolymers, especially perfluoropolymers, degrade dramatically under irradiation. Nevertheless a considerable improvement of the mechanical properties of the final grafted copolymers was observed in comparison with mechanical properties of the initial irradiated fluoropolymer.
