Glyco-leucine

Caprine is the alpha-aimno derivative of the normal six carbon acid or caproic acid. Its name glyco-leucine indicates its relation to glucose and to leucine. [Pg.390]

The other di-amino acid derived from mono-basic acids is known as lysine. It corresponds to the mono-amin o acid, glyco-leucine. Both are derived from the normal six carbon acid, caproic acid. [Pg.391]
