GlcNAc intersecting

Compound 14 may be isolated from the urine of patients with Sand-hoff s disease (GM2-gangliosidosis variant O).62 Fundamentally, it is a diantennary oligosaccharide bearing an additional, so-called intersecting GlcNAc residue (9), /3-(l—>4)-l inked to Man-3. The 500-MHz, H-n.m.r. spectrum of 14 is given in Fig. 15, and the n.m.r. data are presented in Table VII. [Pg.254]

H Chemical Shifts of Structural-reporter Groups of Constituent Monosaccharides for Two Oligosaccharides (14 and 15) and a Glycopeptide (16) Containing the Intersecting GlcNAc Residue (9)... [Pg.256]

Compound 15 is another diantennary oligosaccharide, having the intersecting GlcNAc-9 linked /3-(l—>4) to Man-3. It has been isolated from the urine of a patient with64,65 Morquio syndrome type B. The 500-MHz, xH-n.m.r. spectrum of 15 is presented in Fig. 16, and the chemical shifts of the structural-reporter groups are included in Table VII. [Pg.257]
