Owen Gingerich is Professor of Astronomy and of the History of Science at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The author of more than 400 articles and reviews, he has also written The Great Copernicus Chase and Other Adventures in Astronomical History and The Eye of Heaven Ptolemy, Copernicus, Kepler.
