Geomembranes puncture

Not many analytical methods are available for evaluating geomembrane puncture. The most well-known method, by Giroud et al. (1995), is applicable only to geomembrane puncture because it does not address the selection of a protection geotextile. One of several relationships presented in this method is given in Eq. [17.1] ... [Pg.403]

Fp = geomembrane puncture force (N), foMs = thickness of a geomembrane in contact with a stone (m), tcMp = thickness of geomembrane in contact with a test probe (m), and = strain function. [Pg.404]
