General Form of the Conservation Equations

Three balance equations are used in solving fluid flow problems. Each is a conservation equation, conserving mass, momentum and energy 

Note that the conservation equations are rate equations. In the examples below we consider only the steady-state forms of the conservation equations. Thus the accumulation terms will be zero. In most cases we will just present the final forms of the equations.
