Gel-forming natural polymers

If the oopolymerization takes place in a solvmit-ncn-solvent mixture, iniexospheres (e.g., see Fig. 1 d) will lae formed as a result of phase separation and further polymerization within the polymer rich phase (6). Micrographs showing such bead structures have been presented for 

Styragel (28). The structure of heron, OGn()osed of hydroxyethyl metheicxylate is also proposed to be built up from microsE ieres (27).
