Gauntlet-type gloves

Personnel working with hydrogen fluoride should wear safety glasses plus a face shield, acid resistant gauntlet-type gloves, and acid resistant jacket, pants, and boots. For emergency use, a positive pressure air-line respirator or SCBA, and acid suits should be available. 

Gauntlet-type gloves, which extend above the cuff and protect the wrist and forearm, should be worn when there is a possibility of splashing. 

PERSONAL PROTECTION Wear coveralls or rubber apron, rubber shoes or boots gauntlet-type leather or rubber gloves are recommended wear chemical safety goggles or face shield self-contained breathing apparatus is recommended in high vapor concentrations.
