Gate blocked

A blocked gate is most commonly the result of excessive cooling of the melt in the gate, and may often be caused by an error perpetrated during construction or installation. Table 11.3 shows some of the causes of a blocked gate. [Pg.329]


Repair of the calcium gate/block due to diffusion occurs equally simply because of ionic depletion and competitive association.
