Gas Infrared Lasers

CO2 laser excitation generated 34 lines between 16.3 and 17.7 pm with output powers up to 4mJ. Single-mode 100 kW output powers were found for D2O in a ring laser configuration.  

Picosecond pulses tunable from 2700 to 32 000 cm were obtained using a travelling wave parametric process. The temporal jitter between two systems operating together could be reduced to less than 1 ps.
