Garrya veatchii

Ganyine. C22H33NO2, Mr 343.51, mp. 74-82 °C, [a]p -84° (C2H5OH). A ditetpene alkaloid from the bark of Garrya veatchii (Garryaceae). [Pg.254]

Alkaloids are known in the family. In the present study, two species of Garrya, G. laurifolia and G. veatchii, were positive, the latter known to be alkaloidal. Two others were negative G. longifo-lia and G. ovala. [Pg.96]
