Future of KCE Methods for Aptamer Selection

So far, only NECEEM and ECEEM have been evaluated for aptamer selection and only in apphcation to the selection of DNA aptamers. Despite the demonstration of outstanding results, the application of KCE methods to aptamer selection is still in its infancy. The view of aptamers as useful analytical and therapeutic tools guarantees that work on KCE-based selection of aptamers will continue and other KCE methods will be adapted for this application. [Pg.200]

Non-SELEX is an attractive alternative to SELEX, due to increased speed and suitability for easy automation. Non-SELEX leads to a final pool with all sequences being unique. The analysis of such sequences would be much more efficient if single-molecule sequencing were used.
