Frozen-thawed cells, properties

The great lability of adenylate cyclase is the chief limitation during studies with broken cell preparations. Most can be quick-frozen and stored at -70°C for long periods (and can be thawed at least once) without altering the properties of the enzyme. Aliquots of a given preparation treated and stored in this manner yield results which are highly reproducible. [Pg.307]
