From Benzoyl Aryl Tellurium Compounds

When benzoyl aryl tellurium and bis[benzonitrile]dichloropalladium were stirred in chloroform, polymeric bis[aryltellurolato]palladium compounds were isolated. The benzoyl group was cleaved from the tellurium atoms during these reactions. 

Bis[benzenetelluroIato]panadiuin To 15ml of chloroform are added t.SSg (5 mmol) of benzoyl phenyl tellurium and 0.96 g (2.5 mmol) of bis[benzonitrile]palladium dichloride, the mixture is stirred at 20° for 24 h and then filtered. The red-brown solid is washed with diethyl ether and dried under vacuum yield 1.2 g (92%) m.p. 159°.
