Forbidden expls

Class C relatively safe expls(minimum hazard). They are defined as certain types of manufd articles which contain class A or class B expls, or both, as components but in restricted quantities. Eg small arms ammunition and certain types of fireworks (ICC Sec 53.100)(See also Forbidden Explosives)... [Pg.11]

Time resolved ultraviolet spectroscopy has also been applied to solid expls. Observations have been reported of the luminosity created by 13gPentolite sphere explns in air, N2 and 02 (Ref 31). Partial identification of the spectral species has suggested a wide range of excitations in the three gases, from low energy forbidden 02—band radiation to ionized N2 radiation. [Pg.412]

The early optical spectrum and airshock from a 500-ton TNT expln has been documented (Ref 22). Spectroscopic analysis has revealed that the expl light was produced largely by impurity radiation from sodium, calcium and cyanogen and by forbidden 02 bands. The expected airshock radiation was not detected, presumably due to poor coupling between the airshock and luminosity front... [Pg.414]
