Piroxicam Fondaparinux

In healthy volunteers, steady-state fondaparinux did not alter the pharmacodynamic effects of a single dose of piroxicam 20 mg (23). Piroxicam did not alter the pharmacokinetics of fondaparinux.

In another study, piroxicam 20 mg daily for 10 days was given to 12 healthy subjects with fondaparinux 10 mg daily starting on day 7. Both drugs were also given alone. Piroxicam had no effect on fondaparinux pharmacokinetics, and had no effect on the small prolongation of aPTT seen with fondaparinux.
