Foam generation condensation

The literature is replete with references to various foaming agents which are employed to lower permeability in steam swept zones. The vast majority of the foaming agents require the injection of a non-condensable gas to generate the foam in conjunction with the injection of steam and the foaming agent [1372]. [Pg.211]

Mists Suspended liquid droplets generated by condensation from the gaseous to the liquid state or by breaking up a liquid into a dispersed state such as by splashing, foaming, or atomizing. Mist is formed when a finely divided liquid is suspended in air. [Pg.324]

Condensation method for generating a foam involves creation of gas bubbles in the solution by decreasing external pressure or by increasing temperature (up to achieving a supersaturation of the solution) or as a result of a chemical reaction. [Pg.4]
