Fluoropolymers overview

Investigations of radiation grafting of functional monomers onto fluoropolymers started in the late 1950s. Since that time several hundred papers and patents have been published, as have several reviews,13-16 and some specific aspects have been considered, but a broad overview has not yet appeared in print. 

The inclusion of chapters by the leaders in their fields speaks to the quality of this consolidated work. These authors, many of them, have seen the science and technology develop over the past two decades or more and have, therefore, a valuable overview of where we have been in the fluoropolymer endeavor and where future efforts might lead.
