Polyatomic chains, flexible

Dinuclear 5,10,15-p-tolylporphyrinatocobalt(II) complexes linked by flexible polyatomic chains are active catalysts for 3,5-DTBC to 3,5-DTBQ oxidation by 0 in CHCl at 25 °C [120]. This complex was much... [Pg.286]

An extensive number of Cu(II) complexes (chelates) of mono- and dinucleating N,0-donor ligands have been tested for catalytic activity in reaction (3). The optimum Cu-Cu distance in dinuclear complexes was found to be 3 - 3.5 X [42]. One of the types of ligands used is shown by structure 23. Flexible polyatomic chains connecting two mononucleating subunits increase the catalytic activity. Intermediates of the general structure 24 have been proposed to play a key role in the dioxygen activation process [43,44]. [Pg.343]
