General guidelines, fire exposure

The system has exceptional storage characteristics. Cells can be exposed to a wide range of conditions in which they are exposed to forced current in both the charge and discharge directions without incident. Over charge can cause cell ruptures as does exposure to temperatures above 180 C. Mechanical abuse does not cause fires or explosions. In general, provided the guidelines are adhered to, no hazards are presented to the user. [Pg.166]
