A regulation of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that requires all chemicals manufactured in the United States, except other compounds such as those covered by the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Aet (FIFRA), to have developed data on their health and environmental effects. It also allows the EPA to require tests to restrict or prohibit the manufacture, use or distribution, export, and disposal of chemical substances and mixtures.
