Feier,/. holiday, festival, celebration rest, feierlich, a. festive solemn majestic, feiem, n.t. celebrate, observe. — v.i. rest from work, strike, be idle. 

Resist garnishes, unless you re presenting a tray of stingers at a party, and you can t help yourself. The drinks are festive, it s true, and to be fair, a large part of the popularity of cocktails has always been the silly factor, from napkins ( I hope my ship comes in before my dock rots ) to shakers and swizzles (penguins, monkeys). 

Kumquats are now grown commercially in California, Texas and Florida. Dade City has an annual kumquat festival in January. They can be eaten whole. The rind is sweet, with an acidic under-rind. The flesh, which can be sour, is frequently discarded. 

Helferich was tall and slender, with blue eyes and darkish-blond hair, and was a very sociable person.
