Ferret diameter

Ferret Diameter The longest chord of the project of a regular or irregular object at specific angles. Maximum, minimum, and average Ferret diameters can be determined by successive measurements a value used in particle characterization.

Dried erystals were observed by optical and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) in order to measure their Ferret mean diameter and to determine their habit and texture. The mean diameters of erystals obtained from different solvents and submitted to different drying conditions are reported in Table 15.2.3.3.
