Fast stimulated synchronous activity

After the arrival of the stimulus, the stimulus element is activated simultaneously by the task set and by the input. This causes a strong activation of the stimulus element and a subsequent strong activation of the sensorimotor set. 

There is a frequency for the top element of a memory set (f = 1000 (2 ET)). Different from this is the frequency of its basic elements. This depends on the number of elements of a memory set = 1000 ( 2 ET) n)

Here the complete model is presented with memory sets, set systems, and large memory sets. The memory sets can exhibit a slow, spontaneous, asynchronous activity or a fast, stimulated synchronous activity. Set systems which show stimulated activity compete with each other. Competitive tasks (e.g. finger tapping) may slow the reaction time of one task. The arguments are gathered why this model is more plausible than that of the preparatory studies. At last, the pathology of memory sets is discussed.
